The Texas Gatorfest is a distinctive event that highlights the American alligator while proudly positioning Anahuac as the alligator capital of Texas. Our festival features an exciting lineup of activities for everyone, including local art and craft vendors, mouthwatering food options, exhilarating airboat rides, a fun-filled carnival, and much more. Set within Fort Park, a site of nistorical significance where the first shots of the Texas Revolution were fired, the festival offers a unique blend of history and celebration. 

One of the highlights of the festival is the Great Texas Alligator Roundup, where hunters showcase their harvested alligators in a friendly competition for cash prizes. This thrilling event draws participants and spectators from near and far, creating a sense of community and excitement that benefits our local economy. 

As part of our mission, we are dedicated to giving back to our community, with a special focus on empowering our youth.
