ABOUT US

Texas GATORFEST takes place in Anahuac—the Alligator Capital of Texas—where alligators outnumber people almost 3 to 1!

Held at Historic Fort Anahuac Park on the Trinity River, this unique festival celebrates the American alligator and its wetlands habitat with fun for the whole family. Enjoy carnival rides, arts and crafts, food and drink booths, airboat rides, and live music, plus plenty of alligator-themed attractions.

The highlight of the weekend is the Great Texas Alligator Roundup, where hunters bring in their harvests to compete for cash prizes. With alligator education displays, live reptile shows hosted by Gator Country, and specialty vendors offering gator products, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Your ticket includes admission, live music, and live reptile shows. From country and zydeco to rock, blues, and gospel, the entertainment is just as diverse as the crowd. Plus, more than 20 food and drink booths—including plenty of alligator dishes—make this a true taste of coastal Texas.

Texas GATORFEST is powered by more than 500 community volunteers and brings over half a million dollars into the local economy each year. Hosted by the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce, this event is a proud tradition of small-town hospitality and big Texas fun.
