Applicants will be notified if they are chosen to participate in the festival. Only the first 20 girl applicants will be accepted.

Deadline for Entries: August 12, 2022 BEFORE 5 p.m. Should an application be received after the deadline, the applicant will be notified and the entry fee shall be returned. No entry fees will be refunded for cancellations or no shows.
Date of Contest: Saturday, September 10, 2022
Contest Location: Anahuac ISD Auditorium
Contest Time: 7 p.m.; contestants are required to arrive fully dressed and check in by 6 p.m.
Entry Fee: $50 due at the time of application; checks should be made payable to Texas GATORFEST.

Eligibility: Applicants or at least one of their parents (mother or father) must reside in Chambers County. Applicants must be enrolled in either the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade as of September 1, 2021. This contest is limited to the first 20 applicants. Current title holders from other pageants are not eligible.
Dress: Full-length formal dress and pageant sportswear or pageant casual-wear (NOT sports-themed clothing)
Rehearsal: Rehearsal for the stage competition will be held Wednesday, September 7 at the Anahuac ISD Auditorium
Interview: A brunch to conduct interviews will be held Saturday, September 10 at a time and location TBD.
Participants will be judged on personality, poise, on stage question and dress. During the course of the pageant, contestants will introduce themselves to the judges and audience. The contestant's personal data and biography will be read by the emcee during the evening gown portion of the contest.

The decision of the judges will be final.

Sponsor fees are non refundable. Also, please note that in the event of a natural disaster, entry fees will not be refunded.

3. Good sportsmanship is required at all times. Contestants, their parents and/or representatives agree to work with GATORFEST volunteers and staff in a positive manner. Any contestant, their parent(s) or representative exhibiting an unprofessional, unsportsmanlike or unethical code of conduct will result in contestant being asked to leave the pageant and forfeit their entry fee.

The contest winner(s) agree by their submission of entry that they will be available for festival appearances on all of the days of the festival: Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 18, 2022 at times to be specified at a later date by festival and pageant officials.

The applicant is not married and has never given birth to a child; is not now pregnant nor a parent. If any of these conditions change, applicant is to notify the Texas GATORFEST General Chairman and Pageant Ambassador immediately. Should this applicant be selected to represent Texas GATORFEST, the above mentioned condition applies for the entire period she represents the festival.

The winner of the Texas GATORFEST Queen Contest may not compete for another title in any other pageant during her reign.

By submitting this application, each contestant, their parent(s) or representative(s) agree to abide by the rules of Texas GATORFEST and the Queen Pageant.

Applicant, by submission of their application, assumes all risks of property or bodily injury (including death), which might occur during their participation. Applicant also agrees to hold the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce d.b.a. Texas GATORFEST 2022 harmless from any claim of any nature arising from their participation and or performance.

The winner's scholarship will be given after their graduation from high school and submission of proof of registration at an institution of higher learning.
