Texas GATORFEST Queen Pageant

The 2021 Queen's Pageant Information and Rules Page and Application can be found in PDF form here. Those interested in participating in this contest should either download, read through and submit the completed application to Texas GATORFEST - Attn: Pageants at PO Box R, Anahuac, TX 77514 or submit the application below. Participants need only submit one version of their entry to be considered.

Applicants will be notified if they are chosen to participate in the festival. Only the first 20 girl applicants will be accepted.

Deadline for Entries: August 13, 2021 BEFORE 5 p.m. Should an application be received after the deadline, the applicant will be notified and the entry fee shall be returned. No entry fees will be refunded for cancellations or no shows.

Date of Contest: Saturday, September 4, 2021

Contest Location: Anahuac ISD Auditorium

Contest Time:  7 p.m.; contestants are required to arrive fully dressed and check in by 6 p.m.

Entry Fee: $65 due at the time of application; checks should be made payable to Texas GATORFEST.

Eligibility: Applicants or at least one of their parents (mother or father) must reside in Chambers County. Applicants must be enrolled in either the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade as of September 1, 2021. This contest is limited to the first 20 applicants.

Dress: Formal dress and casual/sportwear. 

Rehearsal: Rehearsal for the stage competition will be held Wednesday, September 1 at 6 p.m. at the Anahuac ISD Auditorium.

Interview: A brunch to conduct interviews will be held Saturday, September 4 at a location TBA.

Participants will be judged on personality, poise, on stage question and dress. During the course of the pageant, contestants will introduce themselves to the judges and audience. The contestant's personal data and biography will be read by the emcee during the evening gown portion of the contest. 

Contestant Rules

  1. All decisions made by the judges are final.

  2. Sponsor fees are not refundable. No exceptions will be made.

  3. Good sportsmanship is required at all times. Contestants, their parents and/or representatives agree to work with GATORFEST volunteers and staff in a positive manner. Any contestant, their parent(s) and/or representatives who exhibit and unprofessional, unsportsmanlike or unethical code of conduct will result in the contestant being asked to leave the pageant and forfeit their entry fee.

  4. The winner of the Texas GATORFEST Queen contest may not compete for another title in any pageant during their reign.

  5. The contest winner(s) agree by their submission of entry that they will be available for Festival appearances on all days of the Festival: Friday, September 10 through Sunday, September 12 at times to be specified at a later date by Festival and pageant officials.

  6. Current title holders from other pageants are not permitted to participate in this event.

  7. By submitting an application, each contestant and their parent(s) or representatives agree to abide by the rules of Texas GATORFEST and the Queen pageant. Furthermore, applicants assume all risk of property or bodily injury, including death, which might occur during their participation. Applicant agrees to hold the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce DBA Texas GATORFEST harmless from any claim of any nature arising from their participation and/or performance.

  8. The winner's $1,000 scholarship will be presented after their graduation from high school and upon the submission of proof of enrollment in an institution of higher learning.
