Texas GATORFEST celebrates the Anahuac area’s lush wetlands and their most remarkable inhabitant – the American alligator. The Festival is presented by the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce and is truly one of the state’s most unique events.
The city of Anahuac is located on the upper Texas Coast, 45 minutes east of Houston and 45 minutes west of Beaumont on Interstate 10. Historic Fort Anahuac Park hosts the event and provides a scenic overlook of the mouth of the Trinity River and Trinity Bay.
A yearly average of 30,000 guests pass through the Texas GATORFEST gates to enjoy the family-oriented Festival.
The Alligator Education Tent was established in an effort to provide visitors with information regarding all things American alligator-related. With a focus on the alligator and its wetlands environment, we hope to provide our visitors with a variety of informative displays – with yours among them! Your participation could add an essential element in completing the theme of this vital portion of our festival.
